LA, Inc. Inspires Teens with Chemistry & Confidence!

On July 16, 2025, LA, Inc. hosted a dynamic V.A.L.E. Workshop at the LAYC Youth Center, where science met self-regulation. Led by our amazing Case Manager, A.J., youth explored the chemistry behind emotional reactions—and how understanding them can lead to stronger emotional control.

The highlight? A hands-on ice cream-making experiment that turned abstract science into a memorable, real-life application.

Key Outcomes:

• 🧠 100% of youth actively participated in both the chemistry lesson and emotional regulation discussion.

• 💬 100% reported increased understanding of how emotions can be managed by recognizing triggers and applying learned strategies.

• 🍦 100% successfully completed the hands-on ice cream experiment, connecting scientific concepts to real-world experiences.
