Program.

The V.A.L.E.™ Program helps increase grade levels and on-time graduation through hybrid (virtual and in-person) academic support. In partnership with the USC K-12 STEM Center, LA, Inc. provides tutoring, workshops, life skills training, and career exposure aligned with Engineering and Design Technology Education Standards & Framework. Many workshops are hosted at the Living Advantage Youth Center (LAYC) and partnering schools, including Manual Arts Sr. High School, while virtual options ensure consistent access to mentoring, workforce readiness, and resources that prepare youth for independence and future careers.

Intro
to Robo.

Introduction to Robotics, a.k.a. "Intro to Robo,” is a program developed to introduce at-risk foster youth to career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, Arts, and Mathematics, (S.T.E.A.M.). By stimulating interest in education and bringing awareness to new career opportunities, children will gain more self-confidence and leadership skills. Currently, 50% of foster youth drop out of high school. In an effort to reduce that number, the event helps motivate children to improve their school performance and develop S.T.E.A.M. skills that can create future jobs that bring them meaning.

Financial
Football.

Living Advantage, Inc. proudly offers Financial Football Literacy Courses in partnership with Citizens Business Bank, empowering foster youth with essential financial skills. Through four interactive sessions, participants learn saving, budgeting, credit management, and identity protection—all while enjoying an engaging virtual football game. This unique program makes complex financial topics fun and relatable. By combining education with teamwork, these courses build confidence and prepare youth to face life’s challenges independently.

V.I.P. Career
Match.

Living Advantage, Inc.’s VIP Career Match Program, in partnership with Woodcraft Rangers, is designed to empower foster youth and underserved students by connecting them with meaningful career opportunities. Through resume-building workshops, aptitude tests, and weekly job fairs, students gain valuable insights into their strengths while engaging directly with employers across various industries. This two-part program equips youth with the tools and confidence they need to explore diverse career paths and secure employment. By collaborating with partners like USC, US Bank, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Living Advantage ensures that students graduate on time and step into bright, successful futures.
