Growth, Games & Good Vibes at LAYC
From March 25–29, the LA Youth Center was the spot to be for teens 12–18. Every day brought new energy, creativity, and hands-on fun—all totally free.
🗓️ Daily Highlights:
🪴 Monday – Seed Starting:
We kicked off the week by planting sunflowers and decorating pots with purpose. Teens learned how something small—like a seed or a new habit—can grow into something powerful.
🎨 Tuesday – Arts & Crafts:
The vibe was chill and creative. From friendship bracelets to DIY designs, everyone walked out with something they made (and a whole lot of confidence).
🥚 Wednesday – Egg Drop Challenge:
Engineering meets chaos. With just tape, straws, and smarts, teams protected their eggs from gravity’s wrath. Some cracked—most conquered.
🎮 Thursday – Video Game Tournament:
The VR was lit, the competition was fierce, and the prizes were worth the grind. From casual rounds to serious showdowns, the tournament brought out everyone’s inner gamer.
🚀 Friday – STEAM Showdown:
The big finale. All week long, teams worked on creative projects—pitching businesses, rebuilding spaces, and showcasing wild ideas. A panel of judges picked a winner, but everyone left with new skills and real pride.

Lunch, raffles, real support, and a space to just be you.
