Womens Image Award
The Living Advantage team is thrilled to have been a part of Women's Image Awards (WIN), an esteemed event honoring women's accomplishments in media.
Our role in planning, setup, and event presentation was a privilege, allowing us to showcase the impactful work we're doing for foster and at-risk youth. Interacting with celebrated award winners was an absolute highlight. Their grace, talent, and industry contributions are profoundly inspiring.
Meet Ungenita Provost
Ungenita Provost started the beauty, fashion, glamour, and female empowerment business coaching trend in 2008. She promotes and hosts events for us. She is just like the 500,000+ foster kids that get shuffled through the foster care system each year, faced the same issues and lived with a brigade of challenges - Abandoned, Hurt, Angry, Alone, Abused, Neglected, and Psychologically Scarred. She states, “I know what it's like to be labeled a problem child. I know what it's like to be the underdog. I know what it's like to be teased, ridiculed and treated like a liability, because you didn't have a traditional upbringing. The life of a #ParentlessChild.”
She will tell you the drama started when she was kidnapped at 2 years old by her father and handed off to his then girlfriend in the Iberville projects of New Orleans. She raised her until she was 12 years old, at which time she had a stroke and died. That’s how Ungenita got into the foster care system.

VIP Career Match Days 2023
During May Foster Care Month, Living Advantage and Woodcraft Rangers, a 100-year-old afterschool program, collaborated on weekly VIP Career Match Days. For the last two weeks of school, students at Manual Arts High School worked with staff to improve their resumes. Then, once resumes were ready, they were presented to employers from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ Office, The Department of Public Social Services, The Monique Woolley Foundation, and Family First Life Insurance.
Financial Football Program With Citizens Business Bank
Students had the opportunity to learn about financial literacy over a series of virtual workshops with Citizens Business Bank in January and February of 2023.
30th Anniversary Celebration
