12th Annual College Preparatory Event

United Friends of the Children
has partnered with
USC School of Social Work
to bring the 12th annual college preparatory event

 

Saturday, September 24
University of Southern California
9:00am-4:00pm
Lunch and transportation will be provided.

 

You are invited to attend an event dedicated to
helping you get and stay on the college path. As a
7th-12th grade student living in foster care or a
youth who has already aged out of foster care, this
day will be packed with information made especially
for you. There will be separate workshops for
caregivers and service providers as well.
You will:
Interact with current college scholars and alumni
who were, until recently, in similar situations to you.
Participate in interactive workshops and learn from
experts on what it takes to go to college.
Get your questions about the college application
process answered.
Learn the good news about college affordability
through financial aid.
Check out a College and Resource Fair with people
there ready to meet your unique needs.
